► Internal Chassis Mounting - Replaces the external ACDC
adapter, dedicated UPS, and all external cabling requirements
with an internally mounted, supercapacitor based power pack.
► Physically Partitioned from the DDRdrive X1 - A host
power loss triggers the DDRdrive X1 to backup volatile data to
on-board non-volatile storage. Significant benefits are realized
by physically separating the backup power source from the X1.
The PCIe plug-in card format has inherent high thermal variability
as each adjacent slot may generate a significant heat signature.
Supercapacitor longevity has a negative correlation to ambient
temperature, moving the supercaps off PCIe can maximize life.
A PCIe x8 slot is limited (in total) to 25W, moving the supercap
charger off PCIe enables a much faster charge rate (3A/36W).
► On-Board Temperature Logging - The ddrtemp utility
performs long term trend analysis of the host's internal chassis
temperatures, 4 million samples (7+ years) may be permanently
stored and easily downloaded to the provided MicroSD card.
► Maintenance-free Service Life - When the 40 C (104 F)
ambient temperature specification is met, the supercapacitors
are guaranteed to not require replacement or servicing for the
entire five year warranty (matching the X1's warranty period).
